Club Standings previous - next

The main purpose of the database is to provide online access to current club standings, player statistics, and club info without tedious manual calculation of stats or hand editing of web pages. You spend a few minutes after each tournament recording match results and the standings pages are automatically and accurately updated.

The Club Standings Pages

Click the Standings link on the main menu to view your Club Standings:

This page shows a list of all players who have earned master points at your club during the current year -- with yearly totals of master points, number of events played, 1st & 2nd place finishes, matches won & lost, the match winning percentage, and the current player rating for all matches played at the club. Player ratings are based on club events only (and do not include matches played at other clubs even if the other club has events in the system). Ratings are calculated using the FIBS rating formula.

If you have more than one year of tournament data saved, there's a drop-down select menu to view standings for any year or all club events.

Just below the page title are links to the Player of the Month, Nemesis Report, and Tournament Results pages.

Player of the Month

The Player of the Month page lists the top player for each month and the leaders for the current month. Players of the Month for previous years can be shown if you have more than one year of tournament results.

The Nemesis Report

Here's a report that's virtually impossible to generate without a database. It's a table of won & lost records between individual club players. To view the Nemesis Report for a club player, select a name from the drop-down list. You can re-sort by Won, Lost, Win%, or Opponent name by clicking the column sort links. This report is available only for players who are marked as Local in your club player list (plus any other players who have played a minimum number of matches at the club).

Tournament Results

The Tournament Results link opens a list of all club tournaments:

Click on a tournament name to view the results in drawsheet format:

Accessing Club Standings from your club website

Your club standings pages can be easily linked from your club website (or anywhere else on the web). The URL address for your standings page is displayed on the main menu page and also at the top of the Club Info form. Copy that address to use as a web page link.
